Woo Hoo!! Joe Montana!!

Good morning! It's been a few days since I last made a blog entry. I've been a bit on the busy side of life lately.

The last time I blogged I reported receiving a signed Troy Aikman photo in the mail. Well today I can report receiving a Joe Montana autograph in the mail - it came yesterday and was postmarked Oakland, CA.

Since my last blog entry...

Chris and I went and did newspaper inserts on Saturday with Ronnie and Beverly and then went to the new Wal*Mart in Madison to grocery shop and generally check the SuperCenter out. It's the largest one in the Metro I believe. It seemed that 90% of Madison County and 75% of Hinds County was in that store - it was jam packed with shoppers. You could hardly move in some areas - people would be slow poking their way around and you couldn't get around and ahead of them.

Sunday I went to Church and in Sunday school we received our new study guides for the book of Hebrews that we will begin this coming Sunday. After class, Debbie and I went to Ronnie's office and she got me a copy of Why I Believe by Dr. D. James Kennedy - the founder of EE. We will begin studying the book tonight in the trainers' sessions. Better bring my checkbook so I can pay for my copy of the book!

Monday Vicki and I skipped the Women's Luncheon at Church - they were having a "co-ed" thing and we weren't interested. Instead, we went to LifeWay Christian Stores and I purchased a commentary on Hebrews and a couple of other things; Vicki got a book by Billy Graham. Then we moseyed down the block in the shopping center and went to Best Buy.

There I purchased a copy of ALABAMA's new box set - Livin' Lovin' Rockin' Rollin' - The 25th Anniversary Collection and a new cell phone case - the kind I really wanted, plus some eargels for my headset. From Best Buy we stopped over at Jason's Deli and ordered lunch to go, then returned to work.

Last night I watched the 2 episodes of 24 with Kiefer Sutherland - that hottie! I'm already looking forward to next week's episode! My other favorite on the show is First Lady Martha Logan - played by Jean Smart - who was on Designing Women all those years ago.

I learned yesterday that we will get the new work schedules on Thursday at the "mandatory" staff meeting. I say "mandatory" because it's normal for someone not to show up even though attendance is supposed to be mandatory. They don't seem to get in trouble for not showing either.

In the mail last night I received my prescription order of Folic Acid from drugstore.com and the Chris Cagle CD from yourmusic.com plus a letter from my pal Carol in Pennsylvania. I also got several magazines and a few pieces of junk. My Credit Union statement came in as well - I'll try to reconcile it sometime today.

I discovered last night that my potassium prescription was almost gone, so I called CVS and requested a refill. Then I talked with Chris and she said that I could use her car to go to the pharmacy and pick it up this afternoon - I'll have to wait till Bob returns from lunch - I don't dare go before he goes to lunch in case that I might accidentally be delayed getting back and prevent him from going to lunch at 11:45 a.m. I don't want to go through that again!

I suppose that this will do it for now - I'll blog again later...
