Evangelism Explosion - 10/24/06

My Dear EE Friends,

God is so good... Again and again he reassures us that He wants so deeply for us to allow Him to use us to be His witnesses. He reminds us, by showing us, that there is quite a harvest waiting right here in the Jackson area.

Tonight there were six more people who made professions of faith in Jesus, and there were nine others who prayed for assurance of their faith. Also there were many visits made tonight where we just reminded people how very much our Lord loves them. We found lots of hurting people and many who were in need of prayer.

Time and again we continue to meet people who were misplaced by Katrina. One team tonight talked with a Christian lady who had lost all of her material possessions. The EE team lovingly encouraged her by reminding her that nothing could separate her from the love of our Father and that nothing could take away her salvation. They prayed with her and felt that they had experienced a divine appointment indeed. She was so lonely and needed someone with whom to talk. God had placed that team exactly where He wanted them to be tonight.

Rex Robinson, Lu Harding and Richard Corkern went door to door with the religious questionnaire and met a guy named Mario. Mario prayed to receive Christ tonight and told the team he had been praying for answers and was so thankful that God had sent them to him.

Bob Turner, Heather and Ryan Reese met Michael tonight as they went door to door. Michael is 28 years old... though living with a girl friend, he recognized his need for the Lord and prayed the sinners prayer. Now, having asked Jesus to be Lord of his life, he realizes that he needs to get his relationship with his girlfriend straightened up as it should be. The EE team will go back next week to meet with Michael and his girlfriend, to witness to her and help and encourage them further in getting their lives on track.

Luke 19:10
The Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

I took my team, Tommy Smith and Beverly Shelton to the laundromat at Colonial Mart tonight. There was only one man in there, all alone, washing his clothes with his two precious little boys . The Lord spoke through Tommy and Beverly to this man, and he too prayed to receive Christ.

Terri Wissel went with Linda Deddens and Toby McCarty to UMC again and three more people opened their hearts to Jesus.

Every team that went out tonight was used. God's Word never returns void. We must be faithful to go, and remember that there results of our visits is left up to the Lord.

Col. 4:5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Our trainees have almost completed the memory work. The remaining weeks left in the semester, they will be doing all of the talking. The trainers will be there just to catch them if they need help. We are so proud of how hard they have worked and for their faithful attendance. I believe they are certainly experiencing the joy of being outspoken witnesses for our precious Jesus.

Reminder for EE Participants:
Next week EE will meet on Monday evening to avoid the interruptions of
Halloween trick or treaters on Tuesday evening.
Supper will be at 5:30, on the second floor of the CLC. in the large
auditorium, room 200. Please park in the parking garage or CLC lot.

Thank you, EE friends, for continuing to be faithful prayer warriors for us.
Col. 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ.

Lovingly His,
Dot
